This
classic science fiction film from 1959 was directed and produced by Roger
Corman (who also has a cameo role in the film, playing a doctor). To pad out the running time
when the film was released to television two years later, a new prologue was
added to the film by director Jack Hill.
From
Hill's prologue, which did not appear in the film, we learn that a scientist,
Dr. Eric Zinthrop, is fired from his job at a honey farm for experimenting with
wasps.
Meanwhile,
Janice Starlin, the founder and owner of a large cosmetics company, is
disturbed when her firm's sales begin to drop. It seems that she alone has been
the sole model for the cosmetics she sells but with years come age, an ememy of
the cosmetics firms who strive for youthful products. But all of that changes
when Ms. Starlin meets Dr. Zinthrop. Find out what happens in, The Wasp Women!
