How To Spot A Fake Profile

When moderating a group, it can be difficult to know how to spot a fake a account if you don’t know what to look for. Over the years I’ve picked up a few tricks to spotting fake accounts and hopefully this will help you in the future. There isn’t a lot to look for and taking a few minutes to check a person’s profile may save you a lot of hassle later on.

When responding to someone requesting to join your group the first thing you should look at is when did they join Facebook; if it was fairly recently that’s one red flag.

Next, look to see if the person is a member of any other groups, if they are then scroll your mouse over the number of groups and read the names that come up. If you see strange names or a lot of marketing pages, then that’s red flag number two.

Then click on their name and look at their profile. IF it’s a real person then you’ll see a few pictures of friends or family and so forth. Even if a person has their profile on private a few pictures will still show up in their featured photos on the left side of the profile.

Your next step is to scroll down their wall and see what comes up. Again, a real person will have real pictures and real friends listed. Look at the picture below of the screenshot I took of a fake account. For one thing there are only two pictures, a profile pic and the picture they used as their background or header.

Look at the number of friends they have. Is it a lot or just a few? In this example I’ve circled their names, they all look foreign. Now that’s not a big deal but if the person is trying to join a group for an American Icon singer and all of their friends are foreign, and the person is very young then how did they find out the icon?

All of the steps I’ve just listed are fast and easy ways to spot a fake account and I hope that this information helps in the future.

PRAYER AGAINST SATANIC ATTACK

            Father, I repent and ask You to forgive me for any door that was opened or that gave satan and his demons license to attack me and I thank You that You forgive me. Your Word says that whosoever’s sins are remitted, they are remitted – and right now I remit all sins in the name of Jesus Christ. Now I command every unclean spirit to leave me now in the mighty name of Jesus!

            Father, right now in the name of Jesus, I send mighty warring angels to be dispatched to me to stand shoulder to shoulder around me now so that I am totally hidden in Christ Jesus. I cover myself with the precious blood of Jesus and I bind the demonic strongman assigned to me. I break the power of the strongman and call on Your mighty warring angels to assist to spoil “his house”! I call on Michael the archangel and others to come and do warfare in the heavenlies over me for the battle that is going on for my soul.

            Satan, I bind you, rebuke you, and render you powerless. I destroy every satanic seal on my life and command it to be broken now, in the name of Jesus!  I send the fire of God into the enemy’s camp! I speak deafness, dumbness, blindness, incapacitation, paralysis and babble to every tormenting demon assigned to me now in the name of Jesus Christ.

            In the name of Jesus, I break every spirit of backlash and retaliation intended for me from the kingdom of darkness, and charismatic witchcraft. I send mighty warring angels to remove the demonic veil, and I call down the veil of the bride of Christ. I take the sword of the Spirt and sever – now – every demonic tie to the kingdom of darkness! I speak destruction and loose the fire of God upon every demon and evil spirit and command them to stay away from me in the name of Jesus. I bind the destroyer, break his power, and command him to go now in the name of Jesus!

            Father, I call on Your ministering angels to minister to me afresh today. I speak peace and restoration to my mind, emotions, body, soul, and spirit and I give you thanks. In Jesus’ name, Amen and amen!

Classic Nick Alert – The Monkees!

Hey, Hey they’re back! Yes, you read that right, starting Today, Sunday, March 3, 2019, at 5/4 on METV The Monkees are back on the air! The Monkees first aired on Nickelodeon in 1986 as part of their 20^th anniversary and lasted until 1988, a good long run on ‘80’s Nickelodeon and now, thanks to METV they are back on the air once again. I’m so excited!
