Craig Devon Deaver, 56 year old loving husband and father, of Altus, Oklahoma and formerly of California, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 in Altus.


Craig was born in Oxnard, California on August 25, 1959 to his parents, Guy and Patricia (Kempster) Deaver. In 1982 he married Cathy Reinke in Ventura, California and they were married for over 33 years. He received a bachelor’s in computer science and worked as weapons analyst for the civil service on Navy ships for 27 years. Craig spent most of his life in California and had resided in Altus for the last nine years. He was a caring person and always helped other people in need and he enjoyed working on computers and fixing things. Craig loved his family very much and he will be missed greatly.


Preceded in death by his parents, Craig is survived by his wife, Cathy Deaver of the home and their son, Jesse Lee Deaver of Altus; one sister, Penny Fisher and Atlanta, Georgia; and mother-in-law, Joyce Wissell and her husband Ron of Altus; as well as other family members and many friends.


The family will greet friends at visitation from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, May 27, 2016 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.


A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus with Brother Boyd Whitehead officiating. Cremation services will follow under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
