Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing - **UPDATED**

I’m posting this to my blog because this conversation has bothered me for a very long time now, well to be honest ever since it happened. It’s a conversation I had with a Christian DJ who works at the Christian radio station I support. I’m changing this person’s name to protect their identity but I’d like to point out how the enemy is working overtime in these last days to accept any form of ungodly lifestyle that comes along and there is a great deception that is taking place in these last days. Sure it’s easy to say, “oh so and so is evil b/c of this or that.” However it’s not as easy to say when it’s one of your favorite “Christian” artists or televangelists.

What you will read is a collection of blogs and videos that I have gathered which I believe is proof that these people are not who they say they are; they are indeed, “wolves in sheep’s clothing.”

With the posting of this conversation it is my goal for the reader’s eyes to be opened to the truth of that God is trying to show them but be warned. Once you have read all of the blogs and watched all of the videos you WILL be held accountable for the information you have received and if you choose to act on it then it is your decision to make but either way you will be held accountable for this so read at your own warning.

Thank you for allowing me the time to put this together for you. As I said this is a bit long so I will post each group / artist in a separate comment. I’ve been praying for all of you to hear the voice of the Lord. I don’t believe that it was an accident that I posted that stat out of frustration and it wasn’t by accident that you “happened” to see it. This was of the Lord because He is speaking to you and He wants to share truth with you.

I know that this will be A LOT to take in but I encourage you to read these articles and watch these videos. I’d also suggest a general study on the illuminati as to get a general idea of the subject (links will be in the last comment).

When James talks about ministers or lead singers of christian bands being judged more harshly. He ain't talking about in heaven. He's talking about being judged by the Jesus police who prowl Facebook waiting to pounce. Ha. (Point 4 – See scripture below.)

So what do I mean when I say find a bigger cross to die on? Live life doing stuff that matters like finding rest knowing Christ has done the work for you! I'm telling you, when you truly taste grace, life is a freaking blast!

I disagree with him taking exception to scripture. I think maybe he was trying to say something else, but it obviously didn't come out that way. With all of these, as a broadcaster I like to check sources. I go into it, never having heard of Now The End Begins so already I'm going to closely read everything and check facts, because anyone can write a blog. So with the Hillsong United thing. From what I'm reading, the writer is simply assuming what the church is up to: solely by judging how the set up looks. He even goes on to say something "looks" like a serpent. It doesn't look like a serpent to me... to me it looks like a gold ring or a halo. And to ask, "Do YOU see Jesus in here?"... I see Jesus in the lyrics that were on the screen.. in the people worshiping and praying. If you're talking about pure aesthetics, the same thing can be said about a church. "Look at those brick walls and pews. Do YOU see Jesus there?" I just think that even churches themselves are more culturally relevant now to bring people in the doors, to get people to hear about Jesus.

With Tobymac: it seems like they're insinuating a lot as well. On talking of his lyrics, "As soon as I heard “west,” my stream of consciousness was: California, Hollywood, fame, and money". Well, that's where his mind went. But not EVERYONE'S mind went that way. And I really doubt Toby's did when he wrote it. Talking later about more lyrics, "Who is this “new” passenger? TobyMac has been in the Christian music industry for over two decades, so he’s obviously not a young believer. Why would he have a new passenger to help him along the way? Shouldn’t it have been the same one since the beginning?"..... I don't know if he knows that any song can be written for anything. This song doesn't necessarily describe Toby. He might be singing about another time in his life, or another person entirely. You don't HAVE to write about RIGHT now/yourself to inspire someone. Then he goes on to just criticize what he doesn't like, in a mean spirited way. He makes fun of Toby wearing sunglasses inside, and even attacking Britt Nicole for holding that heart up to her eye. He's very sarcastic on the last line, " …still has her eye on it. Clever way to hold that heart, too. Very original."

With MercyMe: I watched a lot of that first video. And say all of it is true about Bruno and the Peppers and demonic things. First off, I don't think it's happening the way that Joe Schimmel thinks it is. I think the devil is absolutely at work, and he is affecting people by these lyrics and leading them astray. But do I think that Bruno, and Anthony Keidis and ____________ (fill in the blank: Tom Cruise, John Travolta, etc) are sitting around a table planning their next move to infiltrate the world: no, I don't. I think that they're lost people, just like you and I were once. They're looking to what makes them happy, and they don't realize that's Jesus. I think they deserve a chance too, and it seems like Joe has already giving up on them, rather than attempting to share the Gospel with them. But let's go back... say all of it IS true. What does that have to do with MercyMe? Bart Millard said Bruno had a good performance. And the thing is, he did. God blessed him with an incredible talent. Unfortunately, he's using it for evil. But Bart, as an entertainer said another entertainer had a good performance. For me, even if someone completely disagrees with Bart on that... it shouldn't change the music they've already done. "I Can Only Imagine" has impacted SO many lives.. Bart's opinion on another unrelated topic doesn't change that. Even his sin doesn't make that song or the band "un-listenable". If we had to not listen to any band that sins... there wouldn't be any music.

To wrap it up with Skillet and Lecrae: These people writing these blogs are assuming. Seeing one little thing that seems suspicious, and connecting the dots that aren't there. I personally have talked to Lecrae and John from Skillet 3-4 times each. Does that means we're all buds: no. But I know them a lot better than the people writing these hurtful things. One of my best friends is on tour with Lecrae. He talks of how amazing it is, that no matter what is being said, Lecrae seems to always drive the conversation back to ministry. Just last week, I was in a room with John of Skillet. I interviewed him on camera, and then we sat and talked for 15 more minutes after that. He talked to me about how cool it is that people in big mainstream rock bands are becoming Christians. He said, "that's what it's all about". He loves music, but he loves seeing people come to Jesus more. It just hurts me that people would assume such things without even knowing them. And without the facts being there. And I wish these blogs like Good Fight and NETB would look to further the gospel to the lost, and not point fingers at fellow believers. That's my take on it anyway.

Ask Lecrae WHY he has said ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION that “his music isn’t “Christian” and “has no faith””. Ask him WHY his endorses artists who use such filth in their music.

It's just that, the Illuminati isn't even proven to be real. There's no hard evidence. There's symbolism, and I think people like Jay Z may have fun with that. But these artists aren't taking people away from the Gospel, they're taking people to it. If they switched mindsets a couple years into their career, that would be one thing. But they haven't.. they've always made Christ honoring music. Again, the people writing these blogs don't know these artists. They could write that about me, but it doesn't mean it's true.

Dan Haseltine is not a household name.   But many believers are familiar with the popular Christian band Jars of Clay.  In April Dan tweeted his support for gay “marriage” and claimed that Scripture has nothing to say on morality.  When Christians objected to his unbiblical stance, he tweeted this stunning rebuke:

I don’t particularly care about Scriptures stance on what is “wrong” I care more about how it says we should treat people.

On biblical morality he tweeted:

Because most people read and interpret scripture wrong. I don’t think scripture “clearly” states much about morality.

The following day Metro Weekly reported Haseltine’s response to the uproar:

“Not meaning to stir things up BUT… is there a non-speculative or non ‘slippery slope’ reason why gays shouldn’t marry? Ending its third weekend on the big screen, God’s Not Dead continues to pack theaters across the country. The independent film produced by Freestyle Releasing earned $7.7 million over the weekend bringing its total to $33 million.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the film about one Christian college student’s mission to defend his faith broke box office records by surpassing $11,000 per theater.

Actress Cory Oliver plays the role of the girlfriend of an atheist professor, who attempts to convince students in a philosophy class that God does not exist.

“It’s really His movie,” Oliver said. “He has a plan and purpose for us. He knows what He wants to do with this movie. It started out a year and a half ago in Louisiana and brought us this far. I’m really excited about it.”

God’s Not Dead is on a long list of faith-based movies coming out of Hollywood this year.

Like so many others, Oliver senses that the entertainment industry is changing.

“I think this movie is timely – coming out with all the other movies like Son of God, Noah and Heaven is for Real,” said Oliver. “God is rising up in Hollywood as I would like to see – having been part of Hollywood for 22 years. I really love to see what He is doing.”

Director by Harold Cronk, producers of God is Not Dead added 580 more theaters to its release.

Thirty years ago today, '80s nation was holding out for a hero. Thankfully, Kevin Bacon came along and everybody cut Footloose. The movie, about a street-wise city teen who moves to a rural town where dancing is outlawed, hit theaters on Feb. 17, 1984.

The movie turned Bacon, who'd made some waves in Animal House, Friday the 13th and Diner, into a household name. John Lithgow (Rev. Shaw Moore), Dianne Wiest (the reverend's wife) and Lori Singer (as Bacon's love interest) also dazzled. And it transformed Sean Penn's brother Chris into the world's most lovable dancing teddy bear. (And hey, that's Sex in the City's Sarah Jessica Parker over there as "Rusty." Awww, so cute.)

As much as Footloose is a part of the '80s, it didn't receive the warmest reviews. Today, it still holds only a 54 percent "fresh" rating at Rotten Tomatoes. And the Chicago Sun-Times' Roger Ebert called it "a seriously confused movie that tries to do three things, and does all of them badly. It wants to tell the story of a conflict in a town, it wants to introduce some flashy teenage characters, and part of the time it wants to be a music video."

The soundtrack was a best seller, and AFI would later choose Kenny Loggins' title track as the 96th best movie song. And remake in 2011 made ripples.

But what else do you remember about Footloose?

 

FIVE THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT FOOTLOOSE:

1. Tom Cruise was the first pick to play the lead role, Ren McCormack, but he was already filming All The Right Moves. Rob Lowe also auditioned but an injury prevented him from taking the role.

2. The role of the rebellious Ariel attracted Madonna to the audition. Daryl Hannah was also offered the role but turned it down to co-star in Splash. In fact, the list of actresses consered for Ariel is long and distinguished: Meg Ryan, Heather Locklear, Brooke Shields, Jamie Lee Curtis, Phoebe Cates, and on and on.

3. The story was based on events in Elmore City, Oklahoma, where in 1978, a group of teens challenged a ban on dancing that had been in place for nearly 90 years. Teenagers challenged it.

4. Bacon, then 24 years old, actually went to classes at Payson Utah High School as "Ren McCormack," telling kids he was a transfer student from Philadelphia and dressing pretty much as he did in the film -- with the kids mistreating him pretty much as they did in the movie.

5. The dancing feet in the opening credit sequence? Those are the feet of the cast and crew and more than 150 pairs of feet were shot. The dancer with the gold shoes? That's Kenny Loggins.

According to a new study, from the online dating site, Christian Mingle, in conjunction with the Jewish dating site, JDate, religiously minded people are not following Biblical teachings when it comes down to premarital s*x and cohabitation.

When researchers for the study asked Christians if they would have s*x before getting married, 61% of them said that they would, contrary to what scripture tells them about the virtues of saving oneself for marriage.

Family Research Council fellow for policy studies, Peter Sprigg, said that Christians today appear to be more interested in doing what others are doing around them in the world than actually listening and obeying what it tells them to do in the Word of God.

Sprigg went on to say that online dating sites for Christians can become a trap for those who wish to obey scripture, because, although they believe they are mixing with like-minded people, they could be influenced to turn away from Biblical principles.

The study also showed that 56% of Christians believe that it is perfectly normal to cohabit with their partner before committing to a long term relationship, again contrary to what the Bible teaches.

Another 59% of Christians do not believe that the man should be head of the house and think that it’s appropriate for the woman to be the main breadwinner in the family.

One of the surprising finds of the report, in complete contradiction with Scripture, is that 34% of Christians don’t believe that they have to marry someone of the same faith, although they admitted that it would be preferable.

Relationship expert and licensed psychotherapist, Rachel Sussmann, said that when it comes to making decisions about s*xual matters, even the most strong Biblically minded people tend to do whatever feels right to them instead of relying on the Bible for guidance.

On the subject of couples having premarital s*x, Sussmann said, “Oftentimes couples find this as something personal between the two of them.” She continued “Even if the church frowns on this behavior, they take it upon themselves to make an educated decision between the two of them.”

The relationship expert continued that she believes that one of the main reasons couples ignore Biblical teachings when it comes to s*xual behavior is because pastors are afraid to teach them the truth about what the Word of God has to say on the matter.
